Front Porch is a leading nonprofit provider of senior living communities across the United States, committed to delivering exceptional hospitality and enriching daily life for its residents.

With a strong emphasis on quality dining and community connection, the organization sought to elevate its culinary program through innovation and high operational standards.

Challenge

During a series of six-month kitchen renovations across multiple communities, Front Porch needed a high-capacity temporary solution that could maintain daily meal service—producing over 400 meals per day—while training staff on a new menu, equipment, and workflow system.

Solution

Mobile Culinaire delivered a double 53' modular kitchen setup composed of two connected trailers with seamless interior access. Equipped with advanced kitchen technology, a walk-in cooler and freezer, and a high-volume conveyor dishwasher, the system enabled uninterrupted food service and staff training throughout the renovation period.

Who is responsible for utility connection?

Our mobile kitchen trailers are delivered with all electrical, plumbing, and gas connections pre-installed. It is the client’s responsibility to bring the power source, water source, and gas source (if applicable) to the unit and connect. It is also the client’s responsibility to provide a waste source with a grease trap if necessary. All utility costs during the lease are the responsibility of the client.

What permits are required to install a mobile kitchen trailer and who is responsible for permitting?

The permit requirements vary across states, counties, and localities. You should get in touch with your Local Health Department, Fire Marshal, and Building Department, inform them about your project so they can guide you on any particular requirements you need to fulfill. In most cases, it is required that you obtain a permit and expect an inspection once the kitchen trailer has been set up.
